Last night around 10:30 The CALL learned of a baby coming into care that would need to be hospitalized for a few days. DHS asked if any one from The CALL could volunteer to sit and watch the baby and here I was jumping up and down with my hand raised saying "me, me, me!".
An amazing woman with one of the biggest hearts I have ever met took the first shift last night. She was exhausted but rocked the sweet baby all night. Around 6 am I took over for her. I so enjoyed sitting with the sweet baby. We cuddled, napped, ate and just relaxed. We also talked, baby smiled for me and I just prayed and prayed over this little baby and it's journey! I stayed till 11 and then another wonderful baby warrior took over. The day was filled with people willing to take time out of their busy lives to come sit with this sweet baby that just needed someone to love on it and help take care of it. (I hate using "it", so if you can help me with another word I would appreciate it). I am so blessed that I was able to be apart of the baby's support team!
I just learned via Facebook that baby is being discharged! Yea for baby!
